The first fashion week show I attended was the Manuel Facchini showcase, and it definitely didn't disappoint. Manuel Facchini used London Fashion Week as his international debut, with his women's wear collection entirely 100% made in Italy. He described his collection saying, "It draws on a sharp contrast between different worlds" and further going on to say "On the one hand, the rocker, gothic atmospheres seen in the prints and in the intense, original graphic motifs. One the other, the sports world with it's technical fabrics, including neoprene, and it's sports references".
I have never in my life attended a real fashion show at London Fashion Week and was so surprised to be given an invitation for such an amazing designer. As it was my first show and first of the day I didn't know what to expect, so as I walked to the destination, I was about an hour too early but once the time came around, it was in a really cool venue called 'Circus', situated quite close to Somerset House, which was brilliant. Inside the venue, I was guessing was a restaurant/cocktail bar. It was quite dim lighting, with jewelled curtains by the bar, really cool. In the centre was a smallish catwalk, I didn't actually realise before I went that it was more a showroom, but it was awesome. And there was champagne!
Then the beautiful models walked out and onto the platform wearing an absolutely amazing collection. I used to think that Fashion Week was full of weird clothes that no one would actually wear but I was totally wrong, I would literally wear everything in this collection, it had me written all over it. Monochrome and structured pieces, the collection was also quite feminine, yet with a slightly masculine silhouette's, which I thought was great. I also love that some of the dresses had a thin yellow belt around the waists on the models, just to add that nice pop of colour, and brighten the collection up a little.
Another huge aspect that plays apart is the pattern/print. The Aztec has definitely made a return, it was here a couple of years ago and then slightly disappeared and now it's back and it looks incredible, it's eye catching yet suttle due to the monochrome.

London Fashion Week day one started today and has now I believe finished, but it's back tomorrow and unfortunately I have other arrangements so I wont be attending but I will be back on Sunday for an amazing Fashion Scout show. But for today I've thrown together a small post of a few photos I've snapped up, amazing street style yet again. Enjoy!

Event | London Fashion Week, What's the Hype?

Fashion week kicks off tomorrow here in London and I couldn't be more excited. I thought this post would be great to do as I've spoken about Fashion week in previous posts and some of you may be like, "what's so good about it?" and that's where I come in with this post. Fashion week is a week full of fashion and it happens across all the fashion capitals in February and September every single year, including New York, Paris, Milan and London of course which is where I'll be attending. This is my first actual year of receiving invites from several designers to watch there presentations. Usually every other year I like to just visit Somerset House where all the action is happening and take tons of photos of the street style, which is what I will still be doing but with a couple of shows thrown in. In a previous post I spoke about which types of posts I enjoyed most writing, in which I replied posts about events such as London Fashion Week, the reason for this is, being in fashion whether your a professional or your a blogger like me, it's lets you feel involved in a community. Having two months in the year completely dedicated to fashion and all the amazing designers is incredible and brings everyone in the fashion industry together.
If your lucky enough to attend some Fashion week shows, it'll be amazing because each designer has a different what of presenting and so it's super interesting to see all the different hair, makeup and of course the actual collections. London Fashion Week is a trade event only which means you can't buy a ticket you have to request or be sent an invitation which makes it even that little more cooler. However if you do want in on the action then to end this fantastic week there is something called London Fashion Weekend, which is open to the public, you need to purchase a ticket but it's a brilliant day out, I did this a few years ago and depending on what you want there's three different packages, but you are able to what a fashion show, so I'd definitely check that out if your interested.

I've been nominated for The Liebster Award, by The Chic Times Magazine, so thank you so much. The Liebster Award is an award given to bloggers with under 200 followers, it's brilliant to get to know new and up coming bloggers and I'm so thankful I was nominated. It basically involves answering a set of questions, nominating 11 bloggers and giving them a new set of questions to answer.
1. What inspired you to start your blog?
I originally started my blog because I was so into fashion and beauty and not a lot of my friends really was interested or wanted to listen to be honest and I always really loved reading blogs and thought what a good way of giving my opinions of products and actually have someone think the same and connecting with people from all over the world and making new friends with the same interests.
2. What is your favourite blog post you've written and why?
I don't think I have one particular blog post I favour but I do love when I wrote about fashion week and showed my street style photography with you all, writing about fashion events makes me really happy and makes me feel involved in a community.
3. Describe your dream vacation.
This is super hard for me because I love beach holidays but I love city holidays too because I'm a London city girl. I'm just going to say because it's my dream to travel around south-east Asia and go to Thailand, and I really want to visit a waterfall and spend all day there and have so much fun and be with really good friends and eat good food.
4. Tell us one random fact about yourself.
I hate milk.
5. Who is your favourite blogger and why?
Fashion Filth, love her blog and YouTube (SototallyVlog) channel, she's super quirky and stylish and she looks like a fun person.
6. What is your favourite movie?
This is so hard! but I'd have to say Titanic, or pretty woman.
7. What are your favourite type of blog posts to write?
Events posts such as fashion week or photography posts.
8. What is your ultimate 'pick-me-up' when you are feeling down?
One Direction.

My style is never the same, depends how I feel when I wake up but its super simple most of the time.

Now I've never ever done a movie review but as the most anticipated movie by everyone as well as myself I thought it was worth a review post, and this may become a new topic because I love movies, always watching new ones, so hopefully this goes down well. So Fifty Shades of Grey was released into UK cinema's on Friday 13th, which was just last week and I'm not too sure when it was released everywhere else, could be the same day. But the main day for fifty shades was Valentines Day, which was when I saw it, because I was dateless and to be honest I had waited to see this film forever and was all I had on my mind.
So lets start from the beginning, I originally read the first two Fifty Shades books, if you don't know there are three, but I found out the movie was been made and decided to leave the third out, so I have a little surprise, and still no one has spoilt it. Fifty Shades Of Grey which has just been released is based on the first novel, and therefore will be two other movies for the two other books, which at first I thought it would all be put into one movie, but finding out there's going to be three has made me very happy and super excited for the next.
As I've said I was very excited to finally watch this movie, but there had been so, so many negative reviews in the past week from critics, that made me a little dubious about what to think. A lot of the critics explained the movie as being boring, and not enough sex mainly, which I think is bonkers. I knew before watching this that it had to either be changed a little or toned down a touch otherwise it would be classified as a porno, so I was expecting not to see every little detail in the book.
Now onto the movie, I enjoyed the fact that there was humour incorporated into the movie, which made the whole cinema laugh which was fun and it's good to use different viewer emotions, because in such an awkward or uncomfortable movie it makes people feel more relaxed with watching it. Also most of the movies that I love such as Titanic, Pearl Harbour and Armageddon, these are probably not the right films to compare but the reason I love these movies is because they have major story lines such a war and a sinking ship but there's also a love story. This may sound quite strange as I am reviewing Fifty Shades which you may think is about making a love, well it isn't, it's an S&M story line but with a love story between Christian and Anastasia which really makes you intrigued and excited to see how their love will truly come together.
The acting in Fifty Shades Of Grey, I thought was great, Sam Taylor Johnson (director) didn't cast hugely know or big actors, which I thought was great because we get to see someone we haven't seen before and it's great for them because this will really lift their careers in the film industry. You may be shouting a this saying they are really well known actors, but I've personally never known of Dakota Johnson and everyone I spoke to had neither heard of Dakota or Jamie Dornan. There was a whole load of controversy when Jamie was cast, for the fact that every woman who had read the books had to imagine what Christian Grey looked like and I think it's very hard to please everyone because we all have a different image. I wasn't too pleased at first with Jamie, however I grew to like him and watch this movie and you will love him. He plays the role perfectly and professionally and over all did a great job, a little cringe at times but that was down to the script. Dakota Johnson also did an amazing job and hands down to her for be brave enough to film this. I keep thinking how daunting of a movie it must of been to film, being stripped naked in front of a crew of how many I don't know, but she did it brilliantly.
The only let down is the ending because it's so blunt but obviously it's to be continued and we will have to wait, but over all I think it was worth the wait, it was a truly steamy film. I also want to say I loved the whole playlist of music from this movie, especially The Weeknd "earned it" and Beyoncé "Haunted" and remixed "crazy in love".
